Give Online
John Wesley offers various options for you to make financial contributions. All payment information is securely transmitted, collected, and processed through ShelbyNext Giving. John Wesley accepts major credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, or Discover) and transfers from other bank accounts. Your transaction is secure through ShelbyNext Giving and your financial information will not be shared with other organizations.


Automated Giving and Donations
You are invited to set up automated giving through ShelbyNext Giving for all recurring gifts. If you are currently using the automated giving at John Wesley, please note that we will be transitioning to a different automated system, ShelbyNext Giving, for online giving.
Follow the steps below to set up your ShelbyNext Giving profile or contact Dawn Ackerman, Financial Administrator, for assistance, (843-766-5596):

Go to XXXXX, click the “First Time” link and create a new giving account by entering your personal and payment information. You may enter one-time contributions or automatic recurring contributions, based upon your preference for giving.

Once you have completed the online giving in ShelbyNext, notify the church’s Financial Administrator so that the transition from the former giving platform to ShelbyNext Giving can be finalized.

ShelbyNext
ShelbyNext is an online database and communications tool for church staff, members, and friends of John Wesley UMC. Every member has a Shelby account which gives access to a calendar of events, online giving, and the ability to monitor your giving and events registration payments, as applicable.
Access to this secure and private database is available through a login and password. You can request access by contacting the Financial Administrator, Dawn Ackerman, (843-766-5596). If you dn’t recall your login information to access ShelbyNext, you can request a password reset through ShelbyNext using the email address that you have registered with the church office.

New to ShelbyNext? Follow these simple steps:

Click the Log In to ShelbyNext button above.

Click “Forgot Password.”

Enter your email, and follow the prompts to set up a new account password (Your ShelbyNext username is your email address).

Download the ShelbyNext Membership App to access Shelby features on your mobile device. Simply open your device’s app store and search “ShelbyNext Membership.” Download the app and use your new login information to sign in. When asked for our ShelbyNext domain, enter XXXXX . Use your newly created login information to complete the login process.

From the App, you can upload a profile picture.

From there, we recommend you verify or update your contact information, check out online giving, and start to explore.
Updating Your John Wesley UMC Profile Information in ShelbyNext

Login to ShelbyNext
Click the ShelbyNext Log In button at the top to access your account. Enter your Username and Password. *Don’t remember your password? No worries, click the Forgot Password link above the password field to get a new password emailed to you.

My Info
From the landing page you see after logging into your ShelbyNext account, click on the “My Info” button in the middle of the screen.

Edit
Click the pencil icon in the top right.

Make Changes and Save
Make the changes you’d like to your account information, name, contact information, address, etc. Once you are finished, clicke the blue “Save” button in the lower left corner.

Approval
A member of the John Wesley staff will receive a notification of your changes and review them for approval. After they approve your changes, you will receive a confirmation email.
