What is the Early Childhood Center?

It is a time off for parents that provides a safe, Christian learning environment for children from infancy through four years of age, with an emphasis on learning through play.

 

Our philosophy

At John Wesley United Methodist Church, we believe that a Christian Education begins with a child’s caregivers at home, and is assisted by nursery and church. 

 

Parents Welcome

Parents are welcome as volunteers for special events and field trips.

 

Our Purpose

Our classroom curriculums present opportunities for learning, in a low stress environment, using centers and special areas.

Our goal is to help your child blossom academically and socially while enjoying their learning experience.

 

Our Staff

Our staff consists of caring, qualified teachers who provide positive educational experiences.

All are CPR / First Aid certified, have passed a national background check, and are certified by the Stewards of Children & John Wesley’s Child Protection policy.

September through May:   We follow the Charleston County School Calendar.

 

July Summer Fun Session:

Tues./Wed./Thurs.    

 

The Curriculum

JWUMC ECC offers a developmentally appropriate curriculum, with Teaching Teams providing experiences to enhance the children’s physical, social, academic and spiritual growth.  This is achieved through the use of art, music, language, computer, American Sign Language, Spanish, pre-math, science and social activities.

Infants/Toddlers/2’s:

1 day/wk:   $100 /mo.

2 days/wk:  $165 /mo.

3 days/wk:  $185 /mo.

Older 2’s/ 3’s/ 4K:

2 days/ wk:  $155 /mo.

3 days/ wk:  $180 /mo.

5 days/ wk:  $210 /mo.
